Established disciplines define relevant constructs. ELIAN asks a narrower operational question: which components can be observed, distinguished and coded in authentic digital records without inferring personality, intent or legal meaning?

Movement through this sequence is not automatic. A candidate rule may be corrected, kept empirically open or locked only for controlled pilot use. None of these states means scientific validation.
ELIAN does not invent new psychological or linguistic constructs. It translates relevant components of established scholarship into explicit, digitally applicable observational rules, and documents where that translation remains uncertain or empirically open.
